Here’s a link to the new books this month. They include books on mixed media, beading, free-motion quilting, dimensional quilting art, using scraps and a pattern book from Piece O’Cake Designs.

There are also two new Fons and Porters, a new Quilters’ Newsletter, a new Quilting Arts and three recent Quilting Arts and three recent McCall’s Quilting magazines.

There are also a new Fons and Porters. I am also adding some donated older Quilters Newsletter magazines which the library doesn’t have and an older Quilter’s Home.

This year we have subscriptions to the following magazines:

Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting
Quilting Arts
Quilters’ Newsletter Magazine (still awaiting first issue)
The Canadian Quilter

Additionally I have purchased three new Studios magazines.

Thank you to Anne Irving for donating Laura Wasilowski’s Fuse-and-Tell Journal Quilts.

We also have a DVD of the National Juried Show 2012.

After completing the inventory I have decided to remove about 100 magazines from the library. These will be on sale at the October meeting for $0.50 each or 3 for a $1. Please bring exact change or small bills.

January / February – General Meeting

Our guest speaker this month at our January 26th meeting is Lucy Anne Holiday. She will be giving an historical talk on Traditional Durham Quilting with slides and samples. You can visit Lucy Anne’s blog for more information.

I hope you are all busy gathering items to sell at the Garage Sale being held at our February 23rd meeting. Everything must have a tag STAPLED or safety pinned to the item (no straight pins, please!). The tags are available here. Print one copy, fill in your name and address and they copy as many pages as you might need for the items you plan to sell. If you have items that you wish to donate to the Guild for sale at the Garage Sale, we would ask that you price and tag these items as well – just mark them with “BQG” rather than your own name and phone number.

Please check for new additions this month. There are a few new magazines, some donated Fons and Porter’s that the library didn’t have and a couple donated books that would be good for beginner quilters.
