History of the Guild -The Brampton Quilters’ Guild Inc. was founded by a group of night school students and their teacher. The first meeting was held on September 10, 1987, with fourteen people in attendance. The membership has grown every year and it now varies between 120 and 160. Members meet every month,  from September to June, and participate in quilt related programmes.

The first project, of the Brampton Quilters’ Guild, incorporated the Dresden Plate design. This quilt, when completed was designated as the Guild’s mascot. It depicts our guild logo, the Dresden Plate, and its colours are the Guild colours: pink and burgundy.
