Please complete the following poll to help us plan for next year. If you would like to participate in more than one activity, you may choose as many as you like. (See below for a description of these activities). If you have a suggestion for a new activity, please fill in the ‘Other’ space and leave a comment if your suggestion requires more explanation.  Oh, and if you want to take on the challenge of organizing any of these activities, please be sure to let us know.

Block of the Month – a pattern is available at each meeting. Sometimes fabric is included with the pattern. You can make one or several blocks. They are returned at the following meeting. At the end of the meeting all participants in the Block of the Month are eligible to receive all the blocks returned at that meeting. Sometimes the blocks are coordinated to make a quilt at the end of the year and other times, the blocks are just random.

Piece a Block – Each participant chooses a theme for themselves. A piece of fabric is purchased that coordinates with that theme. Each month the projects are rotated in a predetermined fashion to each of the participants. Each participant is responsible for making a block that follows the theme and uses a piece of the fabric that is included in the box. At the end of the year, a show & tell of all blocks takes place at the June meeting. The person will receive the blocks that pertain to their theme. The block can be of any size and that makes the project interesting to work on and also to complete once all the blocks are completed.

Mystery Quilt – In the first month, the participants are given the fabric requirements and the cutting instructions. Then each month, they will receive instructions for some part of the quilt construction. Each participant is responsible for their own fabric. At the end of the year, there is a show & tell of all completed projects.
